Israel Kills Iran's Acting Leader Larijani, Basij Commander and Deputy in Tehran Safe House
מנהיג איראן בפועל לריג'אני חוסל בדירת מסתור - וגם מפקד הבסיג' וסגנו
Summary
Israel assassinated Ali Larijani — Iran's acting supreme leader — along with the commander of the Basij paramilitary force and his deputy, in a targeted strike on a safe house in Tehran. Larijani had made a high-profile public appearance in the capital just days earlier and had written that "death is happiness." The operation had reportedly been planned for the previous night but was postponed at the last moment. Last week, an underground compound housing Islamic Jihad's second-in-command Akram Ajouri and Mohammed al-Hindi was also bombed.
