Summary

Hundreds accompanied reserve sergeant-major Basel Sweid to his burial in Peki'in; he was killed in a truck rollover in southern Lebanon. He had served hundreds of reserve days and had aided Druze in Syria. His uncle eulogized him: 'He didn't stand aside when our brothers in Syria needed help, and a day after October 7 he was already off to the reserves.' Druze in Syria who had received his help also mourned him.
