Kosovo holds third election in 16 months
Summary
Kosovo is holding a snap parliamentary election — its third in under 16 months — after a prolonged political stalemate between Prime Minister Albin Kurti and former President Vjosa Osmani. The political crisis has weakened an already fragile economy and stalled progress on EU integration and the dialogue with Serbia. Voters are going to the polls in hopes of ending the deadlock.
